Job Responsibilities of the Guest Service Attendant (Temp)

The Guest Service Attendant is responsible for the comfort of the employer and guests at their summer property.


  • Cleaning and room preparation.
  • Cleaning and care of all rooms on a daily basis to include furniture, windows, carpets, fireplaces, doors, architrave, skirting boards and floors.
  • Special care and knowledge of fabric, ceramics, glass, metals and crystal is a requirement, training will be provided as necessary.
  • Packing and unpacking clothing and accessories.
  • Laundry and ironing of fine clothing, linens, bedding, tablecloths, towels, occasional basic repairs to clothing.
  • Complete morning service: making beds, ironing beds, opening curtains, removing clothing, checking & cleaning bathrooms, and checking the agreed room set.
  • Complete night service: opening beds, checking pillows, closing curtains, etc.
  • Floral arranging.

Service and catering

  • Setting the table for breakfast, lunch & dinner.
  • Table Service.
  • Service during events.

Guest service

  • Greeting of guests and visitors.
  • Answer the various requests of the employer and guests.
  • Assistance to guests while during their stay.

Job Requirements

  • High-end hospitality work experience is an asset.
  • Have a motorboat driving license is an asset.
  • Experience in sailing leisure crafts is an asset.
  • Experience in hands-on household work is an asset.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Flexibility in the working hours, according to the employer’s needs.
  • Capacity to work long hours.
  • Flexibility to work outside of strict job description parameters, thinking creatively about how to provide highest quality of service.
  • Flexibility to handle last minute changes.
  • Have the ability to work under minimal direction with an emphasis on client service as well as working as a team.
  • Have good organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of the employer.
  • Ability to multitasking and work under pressure.
  • Be professional, polished, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Have a motorboat driving license is an asset.
  • Must have a current legal working status in Canada.
  • Smoke-Free environment.

Job Salary

$16 per hour.

Job Additional Information

  • Live-in
  • Training provided.
  • 5 days a week.
  • 40-50 hours per week.
  • Temp – May 1st to September 11th, 2017
